I am pleased to present my new Police and Crime Plan for Wiltshire and Swindon to cover the next five years.
My four priorities are to:
- Prevent crime and keep people safe
- Protect the most vulnerable in society
- Put victims, witnesses and communities at the heart of everything we do
- Secure a quality police service that is trusted and efficient
In January 2017 I held a public consultation which involved the launch of a short video, live social media Q&A sessions, an online survey, a Twitter poll, media releases and emails to MPs and councillors.
People were also asked their views on the proposal to increase the police part of council tax (known as the precept) by 1.9 per cent. I would like to thank everyone who took the time and trouble to respond.
You can find my new plan below.
