Wiltshire Police Mentoring Circles is a programme coordinated and delivered in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions, through Devizes Job Centre. The programme is designed for 18-25-year-old NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) young people, with two objectives; to promote employment pathways into Wiltshire Police and to empower young people on their journey into the world of work.
Mentoring Circles is delivered over 3 consecutive sessions, each 2 hours in duration.
“Due to the current pandemic, the programme has been adapted to be delivered over Microsoft Teams”.
Mentoring Circles is delivered by the Youth and Early Intervention Team and supported by members of staff from the Job Centre and Wiltshire Police.

Mentoring Circles involves many other members of Police Staff, including members of the Senior Leadership team, Police Constables, Special Police Constables, Local Crime Investigations and Police Community Support Officers, who share their experience and the skills needed to fulfil their roles. The purpose of this is to inspire participants and enable them to recognise their own skills and experience.
Each programme is individually designed, but an approximate session breakdown is as follows - once a meet and greet takes place:
