Any victim of crime in Wiltshire and Swindon can access our services for victims and witnesses.
The Police and Crime Commissioner is responsible for the provision of support services for victims of crime in the local area. No matter when a crime occurred, or whether or not it has been reported to the Police, support and assistance is available. We are committed to putting victims first and it is more important than ever that victims are supported.
Any victim of crime in Wiltshire and Swindon can access our Victim and Witness services, and they are designed to be as inclusive and accessible as possible, to ensure that nobody feels left behind.
Within Wiltshire and Swindon, the core service is provided by our Horizon Victim and Witness Care Hub. The Horizon Team provide ongoing support, updates and information to all victims of crime. Our Victim Liaison Officers from the Horizon team are able to provide further information when it becomes available and will answer any questions about the criminal justice process if you choose to report a crime to the Police. Or whether you choose to access support independently to assist recovery.
In addition to our core offer of support, there are a range of specialist support services for victims and witnesses which are provided locally. The Horizon team connects to these organisations and can explain options and arrange referrals to ensure tailored support Is available.
