An anonymous short survey has been developed and feedback is being sought to understand victim satisfaction in the police and support services, with the aim of improving the victim journey and increasing confidence in reporting and accessing support.
Police and crime Commissioner, Philip Wilkinson said: “I continue to be concerned about the under-reporting of crime and the lasting impacts and risks this can have for victims and survivors.
“The reasons for victims not reporting what has happened to them can be complex and by understanding these better we can make services easier for victims to access and ensure they receive the support they need.”
The survey can be accessed on the Police and Crime Commissioner’s website and is now open on an ongoing basis to ensure the best possible service is provided for victims of crime by both the police and victim support services.
Victims of crime do not need to report to police to access support and are able to access support no matter the time since a crime occurred. More information on support available for victims and witnesses can be found on the OPCC website: Victim and Witness services hub (wiltshire-pcc.gov.uk)
