“Wiltshire Police is a modern-day force and its workforce should reflect all of the communities it serves. Both the Chief Constable and I know Wiltshire Police will be better police force when we are truly representative of our society, as a whole. Although work to increase the representation of black, and other diverse ethnicities, employees within our police force has come a long way in recent years, more could, and should, be done so we are more reflective of our community.
“Both the Chief Constable and I recognise our responsibilities to proactively tackle racism, root it out where it exists and ensure both our organisations are truly anti racist - building trust with our black and ethnically diverse communities so they can have confidence in those responsible for protecting our communities.”
