Statement following the update from Counter Terrorism:
Police and Crime Commissioner Angus Macpherson said: "It is encouraging to hear the significant and positive update from the Counter Terrorism Policing Network this afternoon. This is clearly a complex major investigation which remains ongoing and Wiltshire Police, under the direction of Chief Constable Kier Pritchard, will continue to support CT colleagues to progress the inquiry at pace.
"Over 12 partner agencies continue to work together closely and public safety remains the number one priority of all involved. If you have any concerns, please use the dedicated phone-line which has been set up by police and public health on 0800 0920 410 or 0207 158 0124 which is available between 8am - 8pm every day.
"As Police and Crime Commissioner I would like to thank you, the communities of Amesbury and Salisbury, for the extraordinary resilience you continue to show and your ongoing support to Wiltshire Police and other partners whilst this incident remains ongoing."
